WHEN DO WE NEED YOUR ORDER?

We recommend you placing your order by November 15th this year.  This does not mean that you cannot order after this date, we just need to place our order with the farm on this date.  After that, they let us know if we can continue to take orders.

ABOUT OUR FRESH TURKEYS

Same as last year, we will be getting our FRESH TURKEYS from Harrison’s Poultry Farm.  Harrison’s Poultry is a four generation family business out of Glenview, IL.  They have been around since 1893.  Below is some additional information on their fresh turkeys:

  • Family Farm Raised
  • Fed a Natural Vegetarian Diet
  • No Trace of Antibiotics, Hormones, Steroids, or Preservatives
  • No Solution or Brine Added
  • No Chemicals

SIZES OF OUR FRESH TURKEYS

Disclaimer: We strive to accommodate all turkey size requests. If the farm is out of a size, they will substitute to their nearest available weight, as we will also. We apologize for any inconvenience if this occurs.

Turkey sizes go in 4 lb. increments ranging from 12 lbs. all the way up to 30+ lbs. Please note that smaller birds are difficult to come by.

HOW MUCH TURKEY SHOULD I GET?

We recommend 1-1/2 lbs. per person because people tend to eat a little more on Thanksgiving. This typically will give you leftovers as well.

8-10 people…………. 12-16 lbs
11-13 people………… 16-20 lbs
14-15 people……….. 20-24 lbs
16-18 people……….. 24-28 lbs
19+ people…………… 28+ lbs. (Or get 2 smaller turkeys) 

FRESH TURKEY BREASTS – Sizes & Recommendations

This year we will have FRESH turkey breasts.  We recommend 1-1/2 lbs. per person for those bigger eaters and/or for some leftovers.

3-5 people……………… 4-7 lb turkey breast
6-7 people…………………. 8-10 lb. turkey breast
